Tri polar?

I am living with what is usually a wonderful man. However, that having been said-I am concerned terribly that my son and I continue to be his “target”. It is an obsession of his to make certain that we have allot of sex, if he’s angry-he immediately takes it out on me-and he consistently finds fault with my son and/or me. It is somewhat of an abusive situation,I know- but then-he attempts to make these changes(I suppose the honeymoon period)and it is calm for a bit. He fails to acknowledge fully-my son having to fight cancer, and my recent loss of my mother. It is as if he looks at everything as to how its affecting him. Is he a ‘dry’ alcoholic? a borderline personality disorder? an abuser? what in the hell is he? I am too tired to think anymore!!!
